Background: This technique video reviews medial meniscal allograft transplantation (MAT) using a representative case example. Indications: Medial is indicated in symptomatic patients with deficient tibiofemoral compartment that has not progressed to arthritic changes. Concomitant procedures address focal cartilage defects, ligamentous laxity, and/or limb malalignment should be performed prior MAT or the same surgical setting. Technique Description: Preoperative workup includes magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), arthroscopic pictures, and sizing radiographs. The Pollard radiographic method measures for appropriate cryopreserved size. Arthroscopic instruments remove residual tissue 1 mm base around capsule. Percutaneous lengthening of collateral ligament (MCL) at its femoral attachment aids visualization/instrumentation. employs 8-mm bone plugs anterior posterior root fixation. Tunnels size 8.5 diameter 10 depth are created. Once placed joint, inside-out sutures throughout body. Sutures from roots secured an anchor proximal tibia.
